Loading the flash movie is a bit 'hit or miss' - you may spend some time looking at a black screen.

Anja says,
OMG OMG OMGGGGGGGG!!!! I never thought it would really happen, I've always wished of another book to come, especially about R&K
decarus says,
The last book was a terrible ending so if there is more maybe it will help.
Sharra says,
Funny it's called a "Richard and Kahlan" novel, not a "Sword of Truth" novel?
Archon says,
Well, the Chainfire trilogy concluded Sword of Truth. This new book is likely to revolve around the birth of Confessor Rahl, with Shota as an antagonist.
FireMan says,
I think it is being called a "Richard and Kahlan" novel in order to depart from the "Sword of Truth" theme. His stories have always been built around the characters and their philosophy, not their quests or adventures. Those things just happen along the way.
I personally couldn't care less if we got a 3rd season of "Legend of the Seeker". That is not why he writes his books. The show is ok on its own but it always pains me to see the butchery that is being done to the original material and message. I have a feeling this book will begin a new story arc that separates it from LotS. At least that is what I hope.

This is great!! Cant wait for the new book! I hope its more than one. One book won't last us more than a few days :-P
I think he called it "Richard and Kahlan" novel cos he wrote some other books where they weren't the main characters. (Debt of Bones for example). So he is letting us know this one involve them as the center of the story! Which is great!!

Could it be that when Disney/ABC bought the rights to the S.O.T. series it meant Terry could no longer write any more books under the umbrella of S.O.T. as it would mean that Disney/ABC would then have the rights to plunder his latest book for the L.O.T.S. series without resorting to negotiation with Terry?
Terry had resisted selling the rights to his books for a long time as he was concerned that when the books were converted for TV/Film his story and ideals would be lost in the translation. His fears were fully justified. The TV series bears no resemblence to the books.
In a way, I hope that L.O.T.S. does not get a 3rd season, and maybe in 20 years time a future Peter Jackson will successfully remake a L.O.T.S. that is true to the books!

SPOILERS, DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE WHOLE SERIES AND LAW OF NINES.
I read all the books Terry Goodkind has put out in public. The Law of Nines worries me, it says the line of the Rahl died out in the world where magic still exists. I'm excited. I know I'll love it, but I'm gonna get pissed if baby richard gets killed. It also says in The Law of Nines that Jax is a descendant of Amnell. That tells that maybe kahlan has a baby with someone else, it is just confusing. I really hope this new novel won't leave me feeling heartbroken, like terry did when Annalina died and when kahlan's baby died, and when lots of other people died. That's why i love the series. It has a complex, twisting plot.
Short version: I hope it isn't a sad book.

Amen, Hermitage!!
Victoria Amnell says,
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I've never been more happier than now. Well, not true, but still... To be honest, I didn't expect a new book, so I was shocked. I think this year's going to be the longest in my life
. But I think it's wort it.
Victoria Amnell says,
BEWARE OF OMENS!
PaulH says,
I remember seeing an interview online with Terry shortly after "The Confessor" came out. He said that he did want to revist Richard and Kahlan in the future, but "The Confessor" was the end of the Sword of Truth series. It would almost have to be the introduction to a new series and not just one book since the only unresolved element after the last book was the threat against a male child from Richard and Kahlan from Shota. Whatever direction it goes, I can't wait. I've read the Sword of Truth Series three times and I will probably reread it again in anticipation.

.......... no words can describe how excited i am!!!!!!!!!!! i haven't read law of nine yet but as soon as i find the first book i will.... i am also intrigued as to why its not referd to as a SOT seiries?? i do agree with hermitage as to why it may be under the same name....
and as what sup g says..... maybe they have twins(boy/girl) like a luke and leia thing??? and the girl takes the amnell name....... and maybe the seires is based on they hide the boy and what shota predicts comes true and they later have to kill him because as he grows older he becomes to power hungry and starts a war or something...... this is only my speculation of course but i think it could explain alot of the gaps between SOT and LON

I have been reading the S.o.T series since WFR came out and i was a teenager, Richard and Kahlan and everybody in the series has shaped my life and interaction with people, to be able to have Terry write further into their personalities and insights on life and dealings is fantastic news, and i personally cannot WAIT to begin anew the adventures.
Ishqbir says,
WICKED!!! i couldnt contain myself and had to call all the SOT enthusiasts that i know!! My head and checks are hurting!
I cant wait... Im really hoping that its a new series, and the novels have got to be thick... gives terry the time he needs to develop and thicken the story.. unlike law of nines. i felt it was too thin compared to WFR. I didnt watch the LOTS series, was too painful to watch...
Im gonna get the first edition signed!! my sis got a first edition of confessors signed for my birthday... Really excited
