The winning confession

First a little back ground. I'm currently unemployed and was laid off from my job in March 2009. While home I watched Legend of The Seeker on hulu.com on line. I'm a huge Xena fan and was instantly hooked because of the scenery and the story was so good. Of course this set off a chain of events and I found out that there was a whole series of books about these characters. I managed to get the first 6 of the books for my birthday in May. I devoured these books in a matter of two months and by August I still had not found a job and could not afford to go on and get the next 3 books. You can buy these books 3 at a time for cheaper than you can buy just one. I told myself as soon as I found a job my first treat for myself would be the next 3 books. But looking for a job and going on interviews constantly has not been fruitful at all and I'm still not working. So here my confession.....

While out the other day after an interview I stopped at the bookstore....a big no no when I know I can't buy anything...just to see if they had the next three books available in the set like you can find on-line at Amazon.com. They didn't, but they did have book 7 for $8.99 plus tax. I bought it! Knowing that this is like a half a tank of gas I'll be missing. I haven't even told my girlfriend that I bought it.....I'm even reading it in secret while she's at work. Oh my God...I'm going to hades now! That is my confession...somehow I don't really feel any better and may have to confess this to her when she gets home tonight cause I'm feeling all kinds of guilt now.
