You asked, we answered!

Here at Legend of the Seeker we have a brand new feature for you to get stuck into. It's called the Mailbag and it's place for you to ask any Seeker related questions you may have. It replaces the ever so popular FAQ section which had over a staggering 900 questions in its lifetime; but alas, it was becoming increasingly harder to maintain and keep up to date.

It's to this end that the Mailbag was born. We've already had some great questions sent in by some of you that I've answered and published in our first ever issue! Unsuprisingly, a lot of questions were about whether or not series 3 will happen. You can read what I think and more by visiting our first ever Mailbag.

The main difference between the Mailbag and the FAQ section, is that you can now share your own views on the questions asked by using the new commenting feature (which is located at the bottom of the page.) The more the merrier!

Finally, don't forget to send us in your questions if you'd like them to be published in next week's issue.

New to Seeker? Find out about the characters first.

We are working closely with Sci Fi as they are showing Legend of the Seeker in the UK in just two days time. (Thursday August 13th 8pm)

If you're new to the show and want to find out what it's about, you can read our character guide which is now up on the Sci Fi website. And even if you're not new to the show, have a read anyway and get re-excited all over again.

Richard Cypher has a date with destiny, but he certainly doesn't have one with the beautiful woman he just met named Kahlan. She catches his eye whilst running through the forests of Hartland, complete with four soldiers hot on her heels. Suspecting danger, Richard does the honourable thing and protects Kahlan, or at least tries to. An unexpected blow from one of the soldiers leaves him knocked out on the ground with little chance of helping her. But already the prophecy has begun, and Richard and Kahlan's chance encounter will lead them to meet each other once again, entwining their destinies in a fight for freedom, truth and love... Series 2: Yes it's happening

Due to an increased demand in visitors asking if there will be a second series of Legend of the Seeker in our FAQ section, and with a decrease to my usually infinite patience, I've taken it upon myself to answer the question here. Yes, there will be a second series.

As of yet, no further details have been released. I don't know when it begins filming, or when it will premiere, or even who will be in it; or what storylines it will follow. But I do know it will happen. So you can stop asking me now, OK?

I'll let you know any new information as soon as it becomes available. The same goes for a DVD release of series 1, if it is happening. Thanks guys.

Six new images from the final epsiode, Reckoning, are now uploaded and available for your viewing pleasure. Shota makes a re-appearance and Kahlan looks to be captured with a R'ada Han - what does this all mean?

Episode 21 and 22 images

Episode 21 images have been up on the site for some days, I just haven't had time to post a news item about it - until now that is! Better late than never. Don't forget to check out the preview for episode 21 if you haven't already. It's incorporated into the header of the site.

I also received 6 images from the season finale - episode 22! I've also added these to our gallery. Just over a week away until we finally find out what Darken Rahl has in store for the Midlands - and more important, Richard and Kahlan!

Hartland, Episode 14

Richard and Co return to Hartland this week - wonder what they are going back for? Perhaps to hide the last box of Orden from Darken Rahl? One things for sure, Anna is back (yes that woman who is blatantly Nadine from Temple of the Winds!)

We have some high resolution screen caps from the upcoming episode in our gallery, plus the new trailer. Check them out in their usual places, you should know by now.

Amfortas - New character!

A new character called Amfortas will be starring in this weeks episode, Revenant, played by actor Michael Hurst. Some of you might recognise him from Hercules.

Amfortas is the Wizard to the last True Seeker, Kieran, who died a thousand years ago. Two images of Amfortas have been added to our gallery. Enjoy.

Is the 'spirit' of Kieran the reason why Kahlan and Richard get it on this week? Only a day until we find out!

We've been sent three new images from the upcoming episode Confession (11). Not much on the old action front, but it's good to see Kahlan in her white dress again. Wonder who she'll be Confessin' ?

Rachel and Princess Violet pics

We've known for some time who'd be playing Princess Violet in the TV show, well now we have the first official picture of Maisy McLeod in character as Princess Violet.

There is also a photo of Rachel, she looks very sweet. For those of you who've read the books, will notice Rachel doesn't have short hair, but that's ok - it may get chopped off yet!

Promo for Denna, Episode 8

We've got the promotional video for Denna, Episode 8. Don't lie, we know you were all waiting for it. If you've already watched it in the "Upcoming Episode" section located in the header of the site, then great. But now you can watch it in a bigger format in our archive.

The day has also been spent upgrading our gallery. A few things you'll notice is the new layout. It's based on the design of the main site, but flavoured for the use of the gallery. You can now search for images with keywords (top right), comment on images and navigate through different albums a lot quicker.

The images from the older gallery are almost all transferred over. Once this is completed, we'll update the gallery to include screenshots from the already-aired episodes. Expect this to happen in the coming days.

Happy New Year, let's hope 2009 brings us some much watched and loved episodes of Legend of the Seeker.

Competition time - UPDATED!

Unfortunately Legendoftheseeker.org is no longer running the competition we previously advertised.

Sincere apologies to anyone who entered and spent time answering the questions (all 138 of them!) We hope that in the near future we may re-open the competition with different prizes for our members. Sorry for any incovenience and disappointment caused.

New design

Its purple. Its new. Its almost finished. Please bear with us while we complete the changes to the new and improved site design. Certain sections, such as, but not limited to: quiz, faqs and media, may look "unfinished". We are continuing to tweak the design and it should be finished very shortly.

The show is now on hiatus until early 2009 and so is the site. We are planning on getting all content and design up to date in time for when the show starts up again. If you have any suggestions for the site, now is the time to share them.

Stay tuned for competitions too, these are coming up!!

Shota and Demmin Nass photos

We have some new high res photos of upcoming characters. Most noticebly, Shota, who is played by Danielle Cormack. There is also one of Demmin Nass and an unknown woman who I've just titled 'Lady' for now.

Although I have a theory that the 'Lady' is actually Shota in one of her many forms. They are both wearing the same necklace - but we won't know for sure until we see the episode. What do you think? Enjoy.

We've known for a while now that Ted Raimi would appear in Legend of the Seeker as Sebastian. Well now we have a photo of him in character.

We must say, loving the waistcoat. Sebastian is a maker of magical maps; I wonder who needs help finding their way?

Screencaps of Prophecy and Destiny

For those of you who like looking at screencaps, I've added about 180 images from episode 1, Prophecy and episode 2, Destiny.

The images cover the important scenes and for those of you who have not watched the show, please bear in mind they will almost certainly contain spoilers. I've uploaded them to our gallery for your viewing pleasure.

On other website news, I will be writing up a review of the two episodes in the coming days. I'm amazed at some of the reviews I've seen already from various people online, some loving the show, some absolutely hating it... it just goes to show how people's views differ greatly from each others.

I've also decided to open up a writers corner on here for visitors, members, fans and not-fans-any-more can share their opinions on the show via the medium of article writing. All you need is an opinion and a computer. I'll post more details of this soon when it's been finalised.

Otherwise, hope most of you enjoyed the premiere episodes so far and continue to tune in this weekend for Bounty, episode 3.

PLEASE TELL EVERYONE TO WATCH THE US PREMIERE OF “LEGEND OF THE SEEKER” THIS WEEKEND!

Together, we can deliver millions of viewers to this weekend’s premiere. We need this show to be an instant hit in the US so it has a chance to survive in today’s TV environment. And we need TV networks outside of the US to see big ratings so they will take notice and schedule the series in their countries quickly.

Spread the word on every message board, every fan forum, every major web portal, everywhere you can. And ask all of your friends to do the same thing. Tell everyone, whether they are fantasy fans or not, to check out the premiere.

New character videos

The Legendoftheseeker.com website has added four new character biograpghies, Richard, Kahlan, Zedd and Darken Rahl. In each of them, Zedd is narrating and they've been added to our website.

There is also a written character biography for some of the main characters, Richard, Kahlan, Zedd, Darken Rahl and Chase on the Official website.

In the coming weeks we'll be writing up our oun biographies for the main characters and the actors who play them. Stay tuned.

New episode information

Two new episode titles have been mentioned by Mystar at the Terry Goodkind forums.

Brennidon and Listener. As of yet, there has been no indication of which episode number they correlate to. So I've just put them in order of what episode names we have so far. They are 5 and 6 respectivley.

Then you're in luck! You can now ask us any question you like and we'll publish the answer on the website.

We're hoping we can build up a good database of questions, so new and returning visitors don't have to trail the entire web for answers. You can view our Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section by accessing the link in the left hand side bar.

Brand new images

We have added a further four images to our gallery for your viewing pleasure. There are a couple of nice ones of Richard and Kahlan together in the woods.

There is less than a month to go now until the show starts and I'm sure new images will be a frequent thing.

Channel TV Guide

Want to find out what channel Legend of the Seeker will be showing on in your area?

USA

We have just launched our own TV channel guide. At the moment, this is for the USA only. All you have to do is enter your Zip Code, City or State and it will list all the channels showing the series in your area.

Canada

If you live in Canada, please check CTV for listing information. CTV will be showing Legend of the Seeker on the weekend of Novemeber 1st 2008. More detailed information on exact times will be made available as soon as it's released.

UK, Australia, Other

If you live in the UK, or any other country not currently mentioned, there is likely to be a few months delay in the airing of the show in your country. We will update the site when a definite premier date becomes available. Please keep checking back.

It's been a good few days for images. Three more have been made available. One depicts Richard with the Sword of Truth and the others are one of Zedd and Kahlan and Kahlan and Richard.

Countdown widget launched

We've launched our own Legend of the Seeker countdown widget. It counts down the days until the first episode officially premiers on November 1st 2008. You can place this image in your forum signature or webpage to help promote the television show.

The image is dynamic, which means it changes the number of days automatically. All you have to do is copy and paste the code into your preferred location.

Please note, saving this image and directly uploading it to your site will not work; the image runs on script to make the actual countdown work. In the coming week various backgrond images and sizes will be available. Please contact us if you have any suggestions.

Trailer screencaps added

I've taken screencaps of the six trailers currently available. Unfortunately the trailers aren't clear as crystal, so most of the pictures don't compare to the promotional ones in terms of picture quality. But we'll take what we can get, right?

New photos released

Two new photos have been released and they've been added to our gallery. One shows Richard and Zedd sitting by the fire talking and the other one is of Kahlan.

Trailers added

We have gathered the six trailers that show clips from the upcoming series, Legend of the Seeker. They are all displayed on one page for easier viewing.

The first clip is the longest and shows various situations and scenes from the series. The second and third ones are short and depict Richard and Kahlan finding their strength and destiny.

Finally, the last three show similar clips as in the first one but with voiceovers from Richard, Kahlan and Zedd respectively.

Welcome to the unofficial fan site for the Legend of the Seeker television series. This website was created with the intention of bringing its visitors clear, accurate and up to date news and information about the Legend of the Seeker series. The show is due to air on November 1st 2008 and to anticipate its release, we’ve gathered as much information as possible so you know what to expect from the show.

We’ve updated our galleries with several promotional and episode images.

The forums have just been launched. We’re open to suggestions for tailoring the forums towards its users and will be looking for moderators shortly. (More info on this to come.)

Over the next week, we’ll be adding extensive character and cast biographies pages; these will be constantly updated once the show starts and more information becomes available.
